K4ICF-"That's me", of course. My current Radio Equipment consisting of a Kenwood TS-520-S Transciever and a MFJ-949-B Antenna tuner using a D-104 Mike and other Equipment.
Hi, my name is Bobby and I live in the Eastern part of North Carolina. I am 61 years old and have been a Ham Radio Operator for 43 years. I was first Licensed as a Novice (beginner) at the age of 18 and held the Call Letters KN4ICF for about 8 months and then upgraded to General Class with the Call Letters K4ICF and have held this Call up to today. Iwas Treasurer of the first Radio Club in this area when the Greenville Amateur Radio Club was first formed (GARC) we had a small club house out by our local television station (WNCT).

I first got interested in Amateur Radio at the age of eighteen when I built a crystal radio set and heard a local amateur one night on it. I eventually learned that he was only three blocks from my home. The following day I went looking for his house and I had no problem finding it because he had a 50 foot tower in his yard with a large 20 meter beam on top of it. I introduced myself to him and he was eager to show me his equipment and I was amazed at all of the equipment he had and right there that day I knew that somehow I would have the same thing and be able to talk with friends all over the world like he did.
